HotTub.com installed the Speed WooCommerce plugin to accept payments in Bitcoin, USDT, and USDC directly from the online store. Customers can now choose a crypto payment option, send the payment directly from their wallet, and receive confirmation within a short time, without needing to contact support.
Speed automatically updates the order status in WooCommerce when a payment is confirmed, allowing orders to progress without manual checks or delays. This reduced the number of failed payments and removed a common bottleneck in the checkout process.
Speed also provided the option to hold digital assets instead of converting them immediately to US dollars. This allowed HotTub.com to retain some cryptocurrency on its balance sheet and decide when to convert based on timing and cash flow needs.
The plugin worked with the existing store setup, and the rollout did not require significant development work.
